Day 14-Poland Czestochowa-Sulejów :
Complete Log entry for Emmanuelle

It was a beautiful summer morning when we woke up until Chris leaned against his bike and the rack fell off. It was the big panic. The bike needed massive repairs quick! And this is not an easy task because in Poland they haven't even seen a bike like Chris's. We looked around and there was nothing. During our search, we met my teddy bear buddy from yesterday. He recognized me and my green arm. I introduced him to Chris and we managed to have a conversation in signs in Polish, English, sign and art language. We got to know a little bit of his story, he had 3 children, one in the army, and he was 46 years old and not married. We told him we were married, coming from Canada and Switzerland and had no babies yet. He told us we were a couple of strong individuals and he was happy to have met us. He was a great guy. I will always wonder what brought him to live his life on the streets.

Anyway back to our bike problem. We were told to go to Kielce were there was a big specialty bike store. So Chris took the train with me. Luckily, the store was next to the train station. Chris’s bike got repaired not without any sweat. The store had never seen a bike like his but it had some rack that had all the pieces Chris needed to fix his old one. He worked on it for a couple of hours wile I got to take pictures of a couple of kids biking around.

We were finally ready to continue our trip. We bike a little to just out of Radom to finally crash in a field. It was about 8 pm.
